Dear GAIK follower,
1) From Business Needs to AI Solutions: Explore GAIK Use Cases
Would you like to see how the GAIK Toolkit has been applied in real organisations? We have launched a new Use Cases page showcasing solutions and pilots developed together with partner companies within the GAIK project.
Rather than presenting generic examples, we demonstrate how organisations from different industries have used the GAIK Toolkit to support key knowledge processes: knowledge capture, knowledge access, and knowledge synthesis. Featured use cases include Incident Reporting, Transcription and Translation Assistant, Building Inspection Report Generation, and Semantic Video Search.
The website also provides Generalised Use Cases, where lessons learned from company-specific implementations have been distilled into reusable solution descriptions. These cover the complete journey from business needs and requirements to implementation and evaluation, helping organisations understand how similar solutions can be developed in their own context.
You can also explore interactive online demos for generalised use cases and experience the GAIK Toolkit in action.
Looking for an AI solution for your organisation? The GAIK project offers free support for organisations interested in exploring and developing their own use cases with the GAIK Toolkit.

2) Hackathon
Generative AI for a business or knowledge process that nobody has automated yet?
What business process or knowledge-intensive task would you automate if you had an AI team for a day for free?
Bring your use case to the GenAI for Real-World Business and Knowledge Process Automation Hackathon & Meetup on 3.12.2026. Together with AI practitioners, students, researchers, and business experts, you’ll explore how far modern AI agents, process automation, and open-source assets can take your idea in a single day.
During the event, participants will rapidly prototype AI solutions using the open-source GAIK Toolkit, a collection of business and technical assets developed within the GAIK project and validated through collaboration with Finnish companies including Luvata, Lotus Demolition, QAdental, and Azets. The toolkit builds on practical experiences from knowledge-intensive business processes in manufacturing, construction, healthcare, education and professional services.Â
Companies and public organizations are invited to:
- Bring a real business challenge or use case
- Meet potential collaborators from academia and industry
- See how generative AI, business process models, and ready-made open-source assets can accelerate solution development
- Receive fresh ideas, prototypes, and implementation approaches within a single day
You are welcome either as an active hackathon participant or simply as a use case provider, joining the collaboration kick-off session and the final solution demos.Â
The event is organized by the Helsinki chapter of the global Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) Community (formerly MLOps Community) and hosted by AI Hub for Business and Education at Haaga-Helia UAS, with support from the GAIK project, LUMI AI Factory, and industry experts from AI Biz Ops SW company 8wave.ai and digital intelligence company Brillian.
